Within our R&D engineering department, the Heat Exchanger R&D Project Manager  will be in charge of leading projects and participating to the design, development and sustaining of our range of heat exchangers. In this role, you will be working together with different departments (Supply chain, manufacturing, quality, marketing etc.) to meet the cost, lead time and quality KPIs of your projects.

Missions

You will be in charge of:

  • Leading new projects and a multidisciplinary project team, from building the specifications together with our marketing team to the product release on the market;
  • Designing heat exchangers (heat transfer, thermodynamical and fluid mechanics calculations, mechanical and thermal sizing, quotation and cost evaluation etc.);
  • Benchmarking and monitoring latest technology trends;
  • Technically qualifying new components and suppliers (frequent contacts with suppliers);
  • Piloting lab tests performed in internal and/or external laboratories;
  • Creating technical and regulatory content;
  • Creating manufacturing orders for prototypes or special products and following-up their manufacturing assembly;
  • Industrializing new and current product ranges (technical data management in our ERP, selection software, commercial brochures etc.);
  • Applying continuous improvement on our ranges based on customers, field service and manufacturing feedbacks;
  • The position could evolve in the future to leading projects on other ranges of products, such as refrigeration racks, heat pumps etc.;
  • You will occasionally travel (domestic and international) for after sales support, tradeshows, supplier visits etc.
  • There is also a possibility of expanding the responsibilities and become the Leader of the Heat Exchanger Team in the future.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in the field of heat transfer, energy or mechanical engineering;
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar position, ideally in the heat exchanger R&D field or within the refrigeration or heating equipment industry;

Your main assets:

  • You have an excellent technical knowledge in heat transfers, heat exchangers and thermodynamics;
  • You speak a professional English and ideally also French;
  • You are able to manage projects with a cross-functional team and can work in an international context;
  • You are autonomous, thorough and able to change ideas into solutions;
  • You are polyvalent, curious and not afraid of change.
